The Cisco C9K-PWR-650WAC-R/2 is a hot-swappable, front-to-back airflow 650W secondary redundant AC power supply module built exclusively for Cisco Catalyst 9500 Series fixed-form-factor high-performance switches. It shares identical electrical and mechanical specifications with C9K-PWR-650WAC-R, serving as the secondary power unit deployed in the vacant PSU bay to establish a 1+1 redundant power architecture. This power module provides stable regulated power for switching ASICs, management subsystems, interface modules and internal cooling assemblies, supporting seamless automatic power failover to eliminate single-point power failure risks for aggregation and data center network infrastructure.

Hardware Compatibility

Fully compatible with Catalyst 9500 series switches including C9500-32QC, C9500-24Y4C, C9500-48Y4C models. It works paired with C9K-PWR-650WAC-R primary power supply inside the same chassis. This PSU cannot be used on Catalyst 9400 modular chassis or Catalyst 9500X platforms. When redundant power configuration is not implemented, vacant power slots must be covered with C9K-PWR-C4-BLANK filler panels to maintain chassis airflow, thermal balance and EMC compliance. Mixing power supplies with different airflow directions within one rack is not recommended.
