The Cisco C9K-PWR-650WACL-R is a hot-swappable 650W front-to-back airflow AC power supply module designed exclusively for Cisco Catalyst 9500 Series fixed-form-factor high-performance enterprise switches. It serves as an alternate version of C9K-PWR-650WAC-R, delivering regulated 12VDC power to support switch forwarding ASICs, management subsystems, interface modules and internal cooling components. This power unit can operate as a standalone primary power source or pair with an identical PSU to build a 1+1 redundant power architecture for aggregation and data center switching infrastructure.

Hardware Compatibility

It supports mixing deployment with C9K-PWR-650WAC-R within the same chassis, though Cisco recommends using matching PSU models for redundant configurations. This power supply cannot be used on Catalyst 9400 modular chassis or Catalyst 9500X platforms. Vacant power bays must be covered withC9K-PWR-C4-BLANKfiller panels to maintain chassis airflow, thermal balance and EMC compliance. Mixing power supplies with different airflow directions within one rack is prohibited.
