The Cisco C9K-PWR-1500WDC is a hot-swappable Platinum-rated 1500W primary DC-input power supply module designed exclusively for Cisco Catalyst 9500X Series high-density enterprise switches. Optimized for standard telecom -48VDC power environments, this FRU delivers stable regulated 12VDC power to support switching ASICs, management controllers, high-speed 100G/400G interface modules and internal cooling subsystems. It can operate as a standalone power unit or pair with an identical PSU to implement 1+1 load-sharing redundant power architecture, eliminating single-point power failure risks for carrier sites, industrial facilities and data center aggregation switching infrastructure.

Hardware Compatibility
Compatible only with Catalyst 9500X fixed-form-factor switches including C9500X-28C8D and C9500X-60L4D. Flexible mixed deployment modes are supported within the same chassis: dual DC, dual AC, or one AC (C9K-PWR-1500WAC) plus one DC PSU. Vacant power bays must be fitted withPWR-C6-BLANKfiller panels to maintain chassis airflow, thermal balance and EMC compliance. This power supply cannot be installed on standard Catalyst 9500 non-X platforms or Catalyst 9400 modular chassis. The matching secondary redundant variant is C9K-PWR-1500WDC/2.
