The chassis supports flexible mixed deployments: dual DC, dual AC, or one AC (C9K-PWR-1600WAC-R) plus one DC PSU within the same switch. Cisco recommends deploying identical PSU models for redundant configurations. This power supply cannot be installed on Catalyst 9400 modular chassis or Catalyst 9500X platforms. Vacant power bays must be covered withC9K-PWR-C4-BLANKfiller panels to maintain chassis airflow, thermal balance and EMC compliance. Mixing power supplies with inconsistent airflow directions within one rack is prohibited.
