Product Overview

The Cisco NXA-PAC-650W-PE is a hot-swappable 650W AC power supply module designed for Cisco Nexus 9000 and Nexus 3000 Series data center switches. It adoptsport-side exhaust (forward airflow)design with blue housing marking, compliant with NEBS standards. This PSU delivers stable 12VDC power for leaf-spine data center switching platforms, supporting redundant deployment for high-availability enterprise and cloud data center infrastructure.

  1. 650 Watt Rated Output Capacity
    Provides maximum 650W continuous DC output at 12VDC. Supports 1+1 redundant power configuration and load sharing to eliminate single point of power failure for mission-critical data center networks.
  2. Universal Auto-Ranging AC Input
    Wide voltage input supports global data center power environments:
  • Low line: 90 VAC ~ 132 VAC
  • High line: 180 VAC ~ 264 VAC
  • Operating frequency: 47 Hz ~ 63 Hz (nominal 50/60Hz)
  • Input connector: Standard IEC C13 inlet
  1. Port-Side Exhaust Airflow (Forward Airflow)
    Air enters from the fabric side of the switch and exhausts out of the port side. Must be paired with matching port-side exhaust fan modules to maintain consistent chassis airflow thermal management.
  2. Hot-Swap Field-Replaceable Unit (FRU)
    Supports online insertion and removal. Technicians can replace faulty power modules without powering off the switch, enabling non-disruptive maintenance.
  3. Real-Time Status Monitoring & Telemetry
    Front panel LED indicators display AC input status and power supply operational health. Environmental data including temperature, voltage and fault alerts can be reported to the switch supervisor via the backplane.
  4. Multi-Layer Hardware Protection
    Built-in overvoltage protection (OVP), overcurrent protection (OCP), overtemperature protection (OTP), and short-circuit protection to protect both the power supply and host switch hardware.
  5. High Energy Efficiency
    High-efficiency power conversion design reduces power consumption and thermal output, lowering overall data center cooling costs.
