Product Overview

The Cisco NXA-PAC-650W-PI is a hot-swappable 650W AC power supply FRU designed for Cisco Nexus 9000 and Nexus 3000 Series fixed-form factor data center switches. This unit adoptsPort-Side Intake airflow (reverse airflow)with burgundy handle marking, NEBS-compliant and certified 80Plus Platinum high efficiency. It supplies stable 12VDC power for leaf-spine switching hardware and supports redundant deployment to guarantee high availability for enterprise, colocation and cloud data center fabric networks.

  1. 650W Continuous Rated Output
    Delivers maximum 650W 12VDC power output. Supports 1+1 redundant configuration and dynamic load sharing, eliminating single-point power failure for mission-critical data center infrastructure.
  2. Universal Auto-Ranging AC Input
    Global wide voltage input for data center power environments:
  • Low line: 90 VAC ~ 132 VAC
  • High line: 180 VAC ~ 264 VAC
  • Operating frequency: 47 Hz ~ 63 Hz (50/60 Hz nominal)
  • Input connector: Standard IEC C13 power inlet
  1. Port-Side Intake Airflow (Reverse Airflow)
    Air flows into the switch from port side and exhausts from fabric side.Important note: Power supplies and fan trays inside one chassis must adopt identical airflow direction; never mix PI and PE airflow modules.
  2. Hot-Swap Field-Replaceable Unit (FRU)
    Supports online insertion and removal. Engineers can replace faulty power modules without shutting down the host switch to achieve non-disruptive maintenance.
  3. Real-Time Monitoring & Telemetry
    Front-panel LED indicators display AC input status and operational health. The module reports temperature, voltage and fault alarms to the switch operating system via chassis backplane.
  4. Multi-Level Hardware Protection
    Built-in overvoltage protection (OVP), overcurrent protection (OCP), overtemperature protection (OTP) and short-circuit protection to safeguard the power supply and switch hardware.
  5. Platinum High Efficiency
    80Plus Platinum certified high-efficiency power conversion, reducing power loss and heat generation to lower data center cooling expenditure.
