Product Overview

The Cisco NXA-PAC-1100W-PE2 is a hot-swappable 1100W AC Field-Replaceable Unit (FRU) power supply module designed for the latest generation Cisco Nexus 9000 FX/FX2 fixed-form factor data center switches. It featuresPort-Side Exhaust (Forward Airflow)with blue handle marking, 80 PLUS Platinum high efficiency and NEBS compliance. This power unit provides stable 12VDC power for high-density 10/25/100G leaf-spine switching hardware, supporting redundant power deployment for enterprise, colocation and ACI fabric data center infrastructure.

  1. 1100 Watt Continuous Rated Output
    Delivers maximum 1100W 12VDC output. Supports 1+1 redundant configuration and dynamic load sharing, eliminating single-point power failure risks for mission-critical data center networks.
  2. Universal Auto-Ranging AC Input
    Wide voltage input adapts to global data center power grids:
  • Low line: 90 VAC ~ 132 VAC
  • High line: 180 VAC ~ 264 VAC
  • Operating frequency: 47 Hz ~ 63 Hz (nominal 50/60Hz)
  • Input connector: Standard IEC C13 power inlet
  1. Port-Side Exhaust (Forward Airflow)
    Air enters the switch from fabric side and exhausts out of port side.
    Important Note: All power supplies and fan trays installed within one chassis must adopt identical airflow direction. Do NOT mix PE (port-side exhaust) and PI (port-side intake) modules.
  2. Hot-Swap FRU Architecture
    Supports online insertion and removal. Technicians can replace defective power modules without powering down the host switch, enabling non-disruptive hardware maintenance.
  3. Real-Time Telemetry & LED Status Indication
    Front-panel LED indicators display AC input status and operational health. The module transmits temperature, voltage and fault alarm data to the NX-OS operating system via chassis backplane.
  4. Multi-Layer Hardware Protection
    Built-in overvoltage protection (OVP), overcurrent protection (OCP), overtemperature protection (OTP) and short-circuit protection to safeguard both the power supply and host switch hardware.
  5. 80 PLUS Platinum High Efficiency
    High-efficiency power conversion reduces power loss and thermal output, lowering overall cooling costs in large-scale data center environments.
