The Cisco N9K-PAC-3000W-B is a hot-swappable 3000W AC Field-Replaceable Unit (FRU) power supply module designed exclusively for Cisco Nexus 9500 modular chassis data center switches. It featuresPort-Side Intake (Reverse Airflow / Front-to-Back Airflow)with burgundy handle marking, delivering high-efficiency stable 12VDC power output for high-density 40G/100G spine switching platforms. This high-power AC PSU is built for enterprise, carrier and ACI fabric data centers deployed with standard alternating current power infrastructure.

Key Features

  1. 3000 Watt Continuous Rated Output
    Delivers maximum 3000W continuous 12VDC power output. Supports N+1 and 1+1 redundant deployment and dynamic load sharing, eliminating single-point power failure risks for mission-critical spine network environments.
  2. Restricted High-Voltage AC Input Range
    Specially engineered for high-power data center distribution:
  • Input Voltage: 200 VAC ~ 240 VAC
  • Frequency: 50–60 Hz
Note: This model doesnotsupport 110V low voltage AC input.
  1. Port-Side Intake (Reverse Airflow)
    Cool air enters the chassis from port side, hot air exhausts toward fabric side.
    Important Note: All power supplies and fan modules installed within one chassis must adopt identical airflow direction. Do NOT mix PI (port-side intake) and PE (port-side exhaust) modules. AC and DC power supplies cannot be mixed inside the same switch chassis.
  2. Hot-Swap FRU Architecture
    Supports online insertion and removal. Technicians can replace defective power modules without powering down the host chassis, enabling non-disruptive live hardware maintenance.
  3. Real-Time Telemetry & LED Status Indication
    Front-panel LED indicators display AC input status and operational health. The module transmits temperature, voltage and fault alarm metrics to the NX-OS operating system via chassis backplane.
  4. Multi-Layer Hardware Protection
    Integrated overvoltage protection (OVP), overcurrent protection (OCP), overtemperature protection (OTP) and short-circuit protection to safeguard both the power supply and host switch hardware.
  5. High Energy Conversion Efficiency
    Optimized power conversion reduces power waste and thermal generation, lowering cooling energy consumption within large-scale data center deployments.
