Product Overview
The Cisco N9K-PUV-1200W is a hot-swappable 1200W HVAC/HVDC hybrid Field-Replaceable Unit (FRU) power supply module designed for Cisco Nexus 9000 FX/FX2 fixed-form factor data center leaf switches. It featuresautomatic dual-direction airflowwith white handle marking and achieves 80 PLUS Platinum high efficiency. This universal dual-input PSU supports both high-voltage AC and high-voltage DC power feeds. It automatically matches airflow direction to installed fan modules (port-side intake or port-side exhaust), bringing maximum deployment flexibility for green data centers, colocation facilities and ACI fabric infrastructure.

Dual-Directional Auto-Adaptive Airflow
Automatically synchronizes airflow direction consistent with fan modules inside the chassis, supporting either Port-Side Intake (Reverse Airflow) or Port-Side Exhaust (Forward Airflow).
Important Note: All fan modules must adopt identical airflow direction. AC, telecom negative -48V DC and HVAC/HVDC hybrid power supplies cannot be mixed within one switch chassis.

Supports online insertion and removal. Technicians can replace defective power modules without shutting down the host switch, enabling non-disruptive live hardware maintenance.

Real-Time Telemetry & LED Status Indication
Front-panel LED indicators display power input status and operational health. The module transmits temperature, voltage and fault alarm metrics to the NX-OS operating system via chassis backplane.
