1. Chassis Native Fixed Rear-to-Front Airflow

   Airflow direction complies with the integrated cooling architecture of the ASR1002 router.

   Important Note: AC and DC power supply modules cannot be mixed within the same ASR1002 router chassis. Only identical PSU types can be installed simultaneously.
2. Hot-Swap / OIR Support

   Supports Online Insertion and Removal (OIR). Technicians can replace a faulty power supply without powering down the router, enabling non-disruptive hardware maintenance and minimizing network outage windows.
3. LED Status Indicators & Platform Telemetry

   Front-panel bi-color status LEDs indicate fan health and power supply fault status. The module continuously reports operating voltage, internal temperature and fault alarms to the IOS-XE operating system for remote monitoring and alerting.
4. Multi-Layer Hardware Protection

   Integrated overvoltage protection (OVP), overcurrent protection (OCP), overtemperature protection (OTP), surge protection and short-circuit protection to safeguard both the power supply and ASR1002 router hardware.
