   Built for traditional carrier DC power distribution:

• Input Voltage: -40 VDC ~ -72 VDC (nominal -48 VDC)

1. Chassis Native Fixed Rear-to-Front Airflow

   Airflow direction matches the integrated cooling architecture of the ASR1002 router.

   Important Note: AC and DC power supply modules cannot be mixed within one ASR1002 chassis. All installed power supplies must be identical model type.
2. Hot-Swap / OIR Support

   Supports Online Insertion and Removal (OIR). Engineers can replace faulty power modules without shutting down the router, delivering non-disruptive hardware maintenance and reducing network downtime.
3. LED Status Indicators & Platform Telemetry

   Front panel status LEDs display input power status and operational health. The PSU reports operating voltage, internal temperature and fault conditions to the IOS-XE operating system for remote monitoring and alarms.
4. Multi-Layer Hardware Protection

   Integrated overvoltage protection (OVP), overcurrent protection (OCP), overtemperature protection (OTP), reverse polarity protection and short-circuit protection to protect both the power supply and ASR1002 router hardware.
