   Built for traditional carrier negative DC power distribution:

1. Chassis Native Fixed Airflow Architecture
   Airflow direction complies with the original thermal design of ASR1006 and ASR1013 chassis. Internal triple fans deliver forced cooling.
   Important Note: AC and DC power supply modules cannot be mixed within the same ASR1006 or ASR1013 chassis. All installed power supplies must be identical model types.
2. Hot-Swap / OIR Support
   Supports Online Insertion and Removal (OIR). Engineers can replace faulty power modules without shutting down the router, supporting non-disruptive hardware maintenance and minimizing network downtime.
3. LED Status Indicators & IOS-XE Telemetry
   Rear panel multi-color status LEDs monitor input power, operational status and fault conditions. The module continuously reports voltage, internal temperature, fan speed and fault alarms to the IOS-XE operating system for remote monitoring. A DB-25 alarm port supports integration with external site alarm systems.
4. Multi-Layer Hardware Protection
   Integrated overvoltage protection (OVP), overcurrent protection (OCP), reverse polarity protection, overtemperature protection (OTP), surge protection and short-circuit protection to safeguard both the power supply and router hardware.
