   Optimized for traditional carrier-grade DC power infrastructure:

• Hardwired terminal block connector for negative DC power cable termination

1. Plug-side Exhaust (Reverse Airflow / Rear-to-Front)

   Cool air intake from front port side, hot air exhaust toward the power supply connector/plug side.

   Important Note: All power supplies installed within one ASR1001-HX chassismust have identical airflow direction. Do not mix plug-side intake and plug-side exhaust PSU models. AC and DC power supply modules cannot be mixed inside the same chassis. This PSU is incompatible with ASR1002-HX, ASR1006-X and other ASR1000 series routers.
2. Hot-Swap / OIR Support

   Supports Online Insertion and Removal (OIR). Technicians can replace faulty power modules without powering off the router, achieving non-disruptive hardware maintenance and minimizing service downtime.
3. LED Status Indicators & IOS-XE Telemetry

   Front-panel bi-color OK/FAIL LEDs monitor input power status and operational health. The module continuously reports operating voltage, internal temperature and fault alarms to the IOS-XE operating system for remote monitoring and alerting.
4. Multi-Layer Hardware Protection

   Integrated reverse polarity protection, overvoltage protection (OVP), overcurrent protection (OCP), overtemperature protection (OTP), surge protection and short-circuit protection to safeguard both the power supply and ASR1001-HX router hardware.
