Important Note: Catalyst 8300 1RU chassis supports dual 1+1 redundant PSU configuration. This base AC model doesnot provide PoE power budget. Deployments requiring PoE+ for switch modules need PoE-capable PSU variants.

1. 250W / 500 Watt Continuous Rated Output

   Sufficient power for standard C8300 1RU router configurations with single or dual C-NIM modules. When two identical PSUs are installed redundantly, they operate with automatic dynamic load sharing to eliminate single-point power failure risks.
2. Universal Wide-Range Global AC Input

   Worldwide auto-ranging mains specification:

• Input Voltage: 100 VAC ~ 240 VAC
• Operating Frequency: 47 Hz – 63 Hz
• Built-in IEC C14 inlet for standard AC power cords

1. Front-to-Rear Native Chassis Airflow

   Airflow matches the default thermal layout of Catalyst 8300 1RU edge router chassis.

   Important Note: Install identical PSU models within one chassis. Do not mix AC and DC power supplies, or mix different wattage PSUs. This power supply cannot be interchanged with Catalyst 8200 PSU (PWR-8200-AC) or 2RU C8300 power modules due to different physical dimensions.
2. Hot-Swap Support

   Supports Online Insertion and Removal. Technicians can replace faulty power modules without shutting down the router, enabling non-disruptive hardware maintenance and minimizing service interruptions.
3. LED Status Indicators & IOS-XE Telemetry

   Front panel bi-color status LEDs indicate AC input status and operational health. The PSU continuously reports voltage levels, internal temperature and fault events to IOS-XE for remote monitoring, telemetry and alarm notifications.
4. Multi-Layer Hardware Protection

   Integrated overvoltage protection (OVP), overcurrent protection (OCP), overtemperature protection (OTP), surge protection and short-circuit protection to safeguard both the power supply and Catalyst 8300 router hardware.
5. High-Efficiency Power Conversion

   Optimized power conversion design reduces idle power consumption and thermal dissipation, supporting reliable 24/7 continuous rack operation for branch and cloud edge networking environments.
