Product Overview

Important Information:RPS-2300 is an empty chassis by default. Hot-swappable AC power modules (C3K-PWR-750WAC or C3K-PWR-1150WAC) must be ordered separately. This equipment is End-of-Sale (EoS). It is NOT a UPS; it only provides protection against network device internal PSU breakdown or independent AC circuit faults and cannot sustain loads during mains power blackouts.

Key Features

1. Modular Power Architecture with Maximum 2300W Overall Capacity

   Equipped with two slots for power supply modules. Identical 750W or 1150W AC power modules shall be installed. The chassis supports dual DC output voltages: +12 VDC for non-PoE equipment and -52 VDC for PoE-enabled switches supplying IP phones and wireless access points. The system supports up to six connected network devices, and can deliver active seamless backup power to a maximum of two devices simultaneously. Ultra-fast failover avoids device reboot during primary power failure.
2. Universal Wide-Range Global AC Input

   Each power module supports worldwide auto-ranging AC mains:

• Input Voltage: 100 VAC ~ 240 VAC
• Frequency: 50 Hz – 60 Hz
• Each PSU module is fitted with a standard IEC C14 power inlet

1. Standard 19-inch 1RU Rack-Mount Form Factor
   Six dedicated RPS DC output ports are provided. Two types of proprietary Cisco RPS connection cables are mandatory:

• CAB-RPS-2300: For most legacy Catalyst switches and ISR routers
• CAB-RPS-2300-E: For Catalyst 3560-E / 3750-E series with intelligent RPS communication
  Important Note: Incompatible with Catalyst 3650/3850/9000 series, Meraki MS modern switches, ISR 4000/8000 series and Firepower security appliances. Do not mix cables from older RPS300 / RPS675 platforms.

1. Hot-Swap Support for Internal Components

   Power supply modules and the system fan tray support online insertion and removal without shutting down the whole RPS chassis. Connected network devices remain protected during component maintenance.
2. Front Panel LED Status & IOS Intelligent Management

   Front-panel LED indicators display AC input status, channel activity, fan health, temperature warning and fault alarms. Supported Catalyst equipment can configure device backup priority, monitor power status and generate fault notifications via Cisco IOS command line and SNMP. Automatic power backoff function is supported on E-series Catalyst switches once the internal switch PSU recovers.
3. Multi-Layer Hardware Protection

   Built-in overvoltage protection (OVP), overcurrent protection (OCP), overtemperature protection (OTP), surge protection and short-circuit protection to safeguard the RPS chassis and all connected network infrastructure.
4. Dual AC Circuit Resilience Option

   Two installed power supply modules can connect to independent AC power distribution circuits to enhance overall power infrastructure reliability.
