Product Overview

Important Note: RPS-300 is NOT a UPS. It only provides seamless backup power protection against internal power supply failures of connected network hardware. It cannot sustain device operation during utility mains blackouts. It supports up to six connected devices, yet onlyone failed unit can receive active backup power simultaneously. This unit ships standard with one dedicated RPS connection cable.

1. 300 Watt Continuous Power Capacity

   Supports dual DC output voltages: +12 VDC for non-PoE switches/hubs and -48 VDC for PoE-capable Catalyst switches deploying IP phones and wireless access points. Ultra-fast failover latency (<60 microseconds) prevents network device reboot during primary PSU failure.
2. Universal Wide-Range Global AC Input

   Worldwide auto-ranging mains specification:

• Input Voltage: 100 VAC ~ 240 VAC

1. Standard 19-inch 1RU Rack-Mount Form Factor

   Equipped with six independent DC output ports. Requires proprietary Cisco CAB-RPS-1414 connection cables for interconnection.

   Important Note: Backward limited compatibility with RPS675 supported platforms. Not compatible with Catalyst 3650/3850/9000, Meraki switches, ISR4000 series, Firepower security appliances. Do not mix cables used for RPS2300.
2. Non Hot-Swap Main Chassis

   The whole RPS-300 unit requires full power shutdown for maintenance. Connected network hardware maintains stable operation during automatic power failover events.
3. Front Panel LED Status & SNMP Monitoring

   Front-panel status LEDs display AC input status, output channel activity, fan health and fault alarms. Supported Cisco devices report RPS operational status and failure alerts via IOS and SNMP.
4. Multi-Layer Hardware Protection

   Integrated overvoltage protection (OVP), overcurrent protection (OCP), overtemperature protection (OTP), surge protection and short-circuit protection to protect the RPS chassis and connected network infrastructure.
5. Two-Tier High-Availability Deployment

   Can be deployed alongside external UPS systems: UPS provides runtime protection for mains power loss, while RPS-300 mitigates outages caused by equipment built-in power supply faults.
