Important Note: This standard-speed fan trayonly supports Supervisor Engine 1 and Supervisor Engine 2. It cannot operate with Supervisor Engine 32 or Supervisor Engine 720. For high-performance supervisors, WS-C6K-6SLOT-FAN2 (high-speed variant) is required. Individual fans inside the tray are not field-replaceable; the entire tray must be swapped if any fan fails. It cannot be installed on Catalyst 6506-E enhanced chassis. Running the chassis without an installed fan tray triggers critical thermal alarms and risks permanent hardware overheating damage.
