Cisco QSFP‑4X10G‑AOC3M Full English Product Description
Product Overview
Cisco QSFP‑4X10G‑AOC3M is an original Cisco active optical breakout cable with a fixed length of 3 meters. One end features a QSFP+ connector, while the fan‑out side delivers four independent SFP+ optical interfaces. Built with VCSEL array and PIN receiver technology over multi‑mode fiber, it complies with QSFP+ MSA SFF‑8436, SFP+ MSA SFF‑8431 and IEEE 802.3ba standards. It converts one 40G QSFP+ port into four independent 10G SFP+ channels for medium‑range intra‑rack and cross‑rack interconnections within enterprise, cloud and high‑performance computing data centers, eliminating copper‑related signal attenuation and EMI constraints.
Key Features
-
40G Aggregated / 4×10G Full‑Duplex Optical Transmission
Supports 40GBASE‑SR4 aggregated bandwidth, breaking out into four independent 10GBASE‑SR channels. Ideal for 40G‑to‑4×10G port expansion for leaf‑spine fabrics, switch‑to‑switch and switch‑to‑server interconnections.
-
Active Optical AOC Architecture
Integrated VCSEL transmitters and PIN photo‑detectors on both QSFP+ and SFP+ ends. Optical transmission overcomes the distance‑limitation drawbacks of copper DAC cables. Supports Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) via I2C bus for real‑time cable health monitoring.
-
Light‑Weight Flexible Optical Cable Design
Much lighter and more flexible than twinax copper assemblies, meeting strict minimum bend radius requirements. Improves airflow and simplifies cable management inside high‑density rack environments.
-
Hot‑Swappable QSFP+ and SFP+ Interfaces
Standard hot‑pluggable QSFP+ host connector and four SFP+ fan‑out connectors. Technicians can insert or remove the cable without powering down connected Cisco switches, routers and servers.
-
Robust Multi‑Mode Fiber Assembly
Ribbon multi‑mode fiber construction provides excellent electromagnetic immunity, completely resistant to EMI / RFI interference and near‑end crosstalk in dense data‑center deployments.
-
Standard Pull‑Tab Latch Design
Equipped with pull‑tab latches on the QSFP+ and each SFP+ connector for convenient insertion and extraction from network hardware ports.
