The Huawei NetEngine AR6240‑S is a cost‑optimized carrier‑grade modular multi‑service enterprise router of the AR6200 series, built on CPU+NP heterogeneous non‑blocking forwarding architecture. Housed in a 3U 19‑inch rack‑mount chassis and running Huawei VRP operating system, it adopts single‑SRU design without 1+1 main‑control redundancy, while supporting hot‑swap of power modules, fan trays and service interface cards. It provides abundant fixed high‑speed ports and composite SIC/WSIC/XSIC multi‑form‑factor expansion slots, integrating routing, switching, SD‑WAN, security, MPLS and voice services. Targeted at large regional branch nodes, industrial park egress gateways and medium‑large enterprise egress sites where dual‑SRU redundancy is not mandatory. No built‑in Wi‑Fi and no native PoE capability.
